Transition from Centennial

Children who graduate from Centennial do so prepared to the best of their ability to step into their next school experience. Some children enter into the school system and go into an integrated kindergarten classroom, a developmental class, or a classroom in a segregated school who will meet their physical therapy needs. Other children complete their kindergarten years in a Montessori program or private school.

Whatever direction families chose to take it is vitally important that they do so in an informed way and prepare themselves to act as advocates for their child.

Learning Through Play

Play is the primary way children learn about their world. Children’s growth is dependent on the sensory information they receive through vision, hearing, touch, taste and smell. The groundwork is laid for perception and cognitive skills as the children expand, modify and adapt through their sensory experiences. This page has been created for parents by parents to provide you with playful sensory experiences to share with your children during their formative years of growth and development.
